Founded in 2022 by three-time Olympian and Olympic Bronze Medalist John Child, Vaughan Volleyball League was created to provide young athletes with an exceptional recreational volleyball experience in a fun, welcoming, and supportive environment.
John founded Leaside Volleyball Club in Toronto in 2008 with a vision of making high-quality volleyball programming accessible to athletes of all ages and skill levels. Over the next 14 years, Leaside Volleyball grew into one of Ontario’s largest and most respected youth volleyball organizations, helping thousands of athletes build their skills, confidence, and love for the game.
Drawing on that experience, John established Vaughan Volleyball League to bring the same proven approach to families in the Vaughan community. Every program is designed to combine individual skill development with exciting team gameplay, giving athletes the opportunity to learn, improve, compete, and have fun alongside their teammates.
Whether an athlete is stepping onto the court for the very first time or continuing to build on existing skills, Vaughan Volleyball League is committed to creating a positive experience that develops confidence, encourages teamwork and sportsmanship, and inspires a lifelong love of volleyball.
