Vaughan Volleyball League offers recreational youth programs in Vaughan and Woodbridge. Each session combines skill development, positional training, team play, and friendly competition in a supportive environment
Our league runs in 8-week sessions on Sundays, with each session lasting 1.5 hours. Athletes are placed on teams before the league begins and remain with their team for the full session.
Each week includes a mix of skill development and gameplay. The first half of each session focuses on individual skills, while the second half features friendly matches against other teams in the division.
Coaches support athletes throughout the program with skill feedback, positional training, and guidance during game play. Each season finishes with the fan-favourite League Championship Tournament, giving athletes a fun and exciting way to celebrate their progress.
Fall, Winter, and Spring League registration is now open for athletes in Junior, Intermediate, and Senior divisions. Program sessions run on Sundays at Woodbridge SportsDome, with each session lasting 1.5 hours.
Our Sunday Junior League is the perfect introduction to volleyball for athletes with little to no previous experience. Each session focuses on fundamental skill development, with fun, game-based play that allows athletes to apply what they’ve learned in a supportive team environment.
Participants are placed on teams prior to the first session and train and play together throughout the full 8-week program. This consistent team experience helps athletes build friendships, grow in confidence, and develop a lasting love for the sport.
Throughout the program, athletes are introduced to the fundamental volleyball skills — passing, setting, attacking, blocking, serving and defence — through engaging, age-appropriate instruction. Our experienced Leaside coaches use a progressive approach that allows players to learn at their own pace while keeping every session active, dynamic and fun.

Build core technical skills and game understanding through a balanced combination of structured training and gameplay. Designed for athletes with Junior League and/or school experience, as well as motivated players newer to the sport.
Our Intermediate League is designed for athletes aged 11–13 who are ready for the next stage in their volleyball development. The program is ideal for players with some previous experience — whether through school teams, our Junior League, or other recreational play — while still being welcoming to motivated athletes who are newer to the sport.
Each session combines higher-level skill development with dynamic, game-based play, creating an environment where athletes can continue to build confidence while refining their technique and consistency.
Participants are placed on teams prior to the first session and train and play together throughout the full 8-week program. This consistent team experience helps athletes strengthen friendships, develop communication and teamwork skills, and deepen their enjoyment of the game.
Throughout the program, athletes continue to develop their fundamental volleyball skills — passing, setting, attacking, blocking, serving, and defence — with increased technical focus and more game-like progression. Gameplay is faster and more structured than in the Junior division, giving athletes the opportunity to apply their skills in a dynamic and engaging environment.

Our Senior League is designed for athletes aged 14–17 who are looking for a high-energy, game-focused volleyball experience in a positive and team-oriented environment. The program offers a faster pace of play while continuing to provide coaching, feedback, and opportunities for skill development.
The Senior division places a strong emphasis on gameplay, with athletes competing in structured, officiated matches each week. A skill-development component is included to reinforce technique and team systems, but the majority of each session is dedicated to game play – creating the dynamic, competitive, and social atmosphere that this age group enjoys most.
Gameplay in the Senior division is athlete-driven and fast moving, with an emphasis on court awareness, positional understanding, and collaboration. Our experienced Leaside coaches provide guidance and feedback throughout each session.
